From May 19 to 21, 2026, the SAP Academic Community Conference Latin America & Caribbean (SAP ACC LAC 2026) took place in São Leopoldo, Brazil. The event brought together university representatives, SAP experts, and partner organizations from across Latin America to exchange ideas on current developments in SAP education and actively shape the future of academic collaboration. erp4students was represented by Prof. Dr. Robert Franz and Andrés Roa González.
The conference provided a platform for exchanging ideas on innovative teaching concepts, new learning opportunities, and the growing importance of practice-oriented SAP skills for students worldwide. Topics such as Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, SAP University Alliances, ERPsim, research, SAP Analytics Cloud, as well as new opportunities for collaboration between universities and companies, were at the center of the discussions.
A particular highlight was the participation of erp4students in a session focusing on current learning opportunities within the SAP ecosystem. The session demonstrated how hands-on SAP education programs can help students develop in-demand skills during their studies and prepare them specifically for their future careers.
Events such as SAP ACC LAC clearly demonstrate the growing importance of international networks for the further development of academic SAP education. Universities, SAP University Alliances, and educational initiatives from different countries are working together to prepare students for the demands of an increasingly digital workplace.
For erp4students, exchanging ideas with international partners provides valuable insights—not only regarding new teaching and learning formats, but also in gaining a better understanding of the challenges and needs faced by universities and students in different regions.
The SAP Academic Community Conference LAC 2026 once again demonstrated that fostering future SAP talent is a global mission driven by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and joint innovation.
